The Fifth International Childhood Cancer Cohort Consortium (I4C) Workshop covered a range of topics, including:
- Update from new cohorts
- Updates and discussions on future directions from the various I4C Working Groups
- Discussions on research projects involving data and specimens currently available for analysis
- Strategies adopted for cancer ascertainment by I4C cohorts
- Application of OMICS technologies to cancer research
A special welcome was extended to investigators leading or collaborating in infant/childhood cohorts but who are not currently participating in the consortium. Epidemiologists, pediatricians, laboratory scientists, and other investigators with a particular interest in studying postulated environmental, lifestyle, molecular, and genetic risk factors for pediatric cancers were encouraged to register for this meeting. In total, 58 participants from 14 countries participated in the Workshop.
