National Children’s Study
Dr. Chung serves as a Program Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, and Financial Analyst for the National Children’s Study. Prior to joining the National Children’s Study, he worked in the Office of Grants Management for the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). He also has prior experience as a research consultant for the biotech industry and the University of Illinois Institute for Genomic Biology and as an Editor-in-Chief with the International Journal of Applied Research in Natural Products. His research has focused on utilizing plant biomedicine, molecular biology, genomics, proteomics, microbiology, and nutraceuticals to target chronic and infectious health issues. Dr. Chung was selected as “Top 100 most promising young scientist in life sciences in the world” by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He received his doctorate in Physiological Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
